Production of jigsaw puzzles and puzzles

1. Jigsaw puzzle resources

a) Jigsaw puzzle die-cutting

- Dimensions of the puzzle: 480mm x 320mm,
- Number of puzzle pieces to choose from: 20, 35 or 84 pieces.

b) Material of the jigsaw puzzle

- Obverse and reverse side: chalky paper, CMYK print + GLOSSY or MATT dispersion coating,
- Bookbinding cardboard 1.5 mm.

c) Jigsaw puzzle protection

- Jigsaw puzzles broken up and put into a foil bag with a thickness of 40 μm, Bag closed by heat sealing.

2. Jigsaw puzzle packaging

a) Type of packaging for the jigsaw puzzles

- Corrugated cardboard box, laminated and glued inline,
- Box size after folding: 241 x 175 x 54mm.

b) Packaging material for jigsaw puzzles

- Front side cardboard GC print CMYK + GLOSSY or MATT foil,
- corrugated cardboard type E, bleached on one side or grey.

c) Protection of packaging against opening

- One-point transparent sticker with a round shape.

3. Product packaging and logistics

a) Collective packaging for jigsaw puzzles

- Jigsaw puzzles are packed in 14 units in a flap box,
- On each collective packaging, an information label with a barcode or according to the guidelines is affixed,
- Dimension of the information label (thermal) 8x6 cm.

b) Material of collective packaging for jigsaw puzzles

- The flap box is made of corrugated cardboard type B,
- Size of a collective box after packing the jigsaw puzzles 35x30.5 cm and 37.5cm high,
- The weight of a 14-unit collective box of puzzles is approximately 4.5kg.

c) Preparation of dispatch of the puzzles – example

- Collective boxes with puzzles are placed in layers of 6 units on a pallet with the size of 100 x 80cm,
- The bottom as well as the top is protected from moisture, then everything is stretch wrapped together,
- The height of a pallet with 4 layers is 170 cm,
- Total weight is up to 150 kg,
- There is a total of 336 units on the pallet (24 cardboard boxes with 14 units in each).
